is exactly 700px wide (which is how big it says it needs to be) but when i get on my laptop it like, is waaaaay too big. wtf?

Yea it looks big to me also. What you should do is take a screen shot of the area where it should be and then upload it to photobucket and look at the pixels.... thats what i do when i make my lyts :p
